PFC COROFIL
PFC Corofil, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of passive fire protection products.
Their products help maintain the safety of public, private, commercial and historic buildings worldwide. Their business has developed over the years from manufacturing bespoke fire rated filler blocks and movement joints, branching out to offer coatings, sealants and intumescent fire stopping products for service penetrations in fire compartments. Their CF system for upgrading fire resistance and acoustic performance of existing timber floors has been used on a number of Royal Palaces. Over recent years, PFC Corofil have invested in cutting edge technology developing a new intumescent material which can be extruded or injection moulded into engineered components for pipe and cable management systems. In both the construction phase and in occupied buildings, fire barriers are constantly being damaged by the routing of new electrical, data and telecom cabling, through walls and floors. PFC Corofil has developed a unique range of cable firestop management systems to create cable transit points in the building’s fabric to reduce the risk of fire spread through cable runs.
PFC Corofil C450 Cavity Firestop
Full fill fire stop provides up to 2 hours fire protection (vertically or horizontally)within walls & floors
PFC Corofil C450 Party Wall Closer
This is a rock mineral fibre cavity barrier with an integral DPC suitable for closing cavities in brick and block party walls vertically up to 150mm wide It used to prevent the spread of fire and reduce smoke and sound transmission along a continuous cavity between separate dwellings – up to 2 hrs protection – friction fitted under compression
PFC Corofil FF102/25 Open State Cavity Barrier
This is a TENMAT rigid high expansion intumescent strip encased in aluminium foil. Dimensions 4mm x 35mm x 1000mm being an open State Cavity Barrier is used to prevent the spread of fire for up to 120 minutes in horizontal and vertical cavities up to 25mm where a continuous air gap needs to be maintained avoiding damp issues and ventilates cavity structure – horizontal/vertical. PFC Corofil FF102/50 Open State Cavity Barrier is a TENMAT rigid high expansion intumescent strip encased in aluminium foil. Dimensions 6mm x 75mm x 1000mm and prevent the spread of fire for up to 120 minutes in horizontal and vertical cavities up to 50mm where a continuous air Gap needs to be maintained.
PFC Corofil RSB120 Open State Cavity Barrier
This is used to prevent the spread of fire for up to 120 minutes between horizontal or vertical cavities formed within rain screen systems where a free air gap needs to be maintained. The barriers are manufactured to suit the overall cavity width leaving an air gap of 25mm wide. The product is supported with multipurpose brackets, mechanically fixed back to the inner wall of the rain screen system and pigtail screws to secure the intumescent strip to the face of the barrier and suitable for cavities from 50-300mm with timber stud, cement boards and masonry/concrete substrates.
PFC Corofil RSB2 Open State Cavity Barrier
This is used to prevent the spread of fire for up to 60 minutes between horizontal or vertical cavities in external walls where a continuous air gap needs to be maintained and cavities 51 – 300mm with timber stud, cement boards and masonry/concrete substrates.
PFC Corofil VFB+ Open State Cavity Barrier
This is used to prevent the spread of fire for up to 90 minutes between horizontal or vertical cavities where a continuous air gap needs to be maintained and cavity widths to 500mm – air gap 44mm
Butyl Tape is a pre-formed, high performance, intumescent polyisobutylene (PIB) based sealing tape used in applications to form a fire and air tight seal.
PFC Corofil C144 Cavity Firestop Strips & Blocks
This provides firestopping for horizontal and vertical linear joints in masonry and concrete walls and floors. The strips are manufactured pre cut to fit the specific gap size and depth of the joint, depending on the fire rating required and the thickness of the strip is supplied larger than the gap size, for a compression fit.
C144 Firestop Blocks
C144 Firestop Blocks are used to firestop profiles in roofing, cladding and composite floor decking. The blocks are manufactured to suit the specific trapezoidal shape. The width is determined by the fire rating of the masonry wall and when firestopping steel beams or plasterboard partitions the block must fill the full width of the beam or partition.
